Dr. Ming Pei has a great site with a collection of Chinese literature that just keeps growing. The pages include Chinese Classics, Chinese Poetry, Chinese Calligraphy, and much more.

People's Daily is the official newspaper in Beijing. Also contains links to the web sites of several affiliated newspapers.

alt.chinese.text.big5 is a Usenet Newsgroup dedicated to discussions in and of Chinese text.
The Taiwan (tw.*) Newsgroups are pretty sparse, but sometimes worth a look.
CHPOEM-L-Chinese Poem List, a Bitnet List dedicated to the enjoyment of Chinese poetry. Most postings to this list are Chinese poems or prose. To join CHPOEM-L, send a message to listserv@uga saying "sub chpoem-l name", omitting the quotes and substituting your real full name where the above line says "name."
RIME Chinese Conference-RIME is an international e-mail network of BBSs. It allows BBS users to communicate with remote participants in topic-oriented conferences. Postings in the RIME Chinese Conference are often in English or Big-5.
